Action Mobility in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire has been serving customers as an independent mobility and healthcare business since 1996. We offer a wide range of mobility products and daily living aids at competitive prices to “make your life easier”.
Our aim is to provide confidential, friendly and caring customer service at all times.
In addition to our traditional high street showroom facility, we have many of our most popular items available for purchase from our online shop for your convenience. VAT Exemption
Many products featured are specifically designed for use by people with a permanent disability or by those suffering a chronic, on-going permanent illness eg. osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis or stroke. These products are clearly shown at checkout and can be purchased without VAT, providing they are relevant to your disability or permanent chronic illness.
You do not have to be Registered Disabled to qualify, however you will need to complete a VAT Exemption Declaration Form during the checkout process.
If you are unsure whether you qualify for VAT Exemption you will be able to obtain advice from your local HMRC office or by calling the National Advice Service on 0845-302-0203
WARNING - Please note there are penalties for making a fraudulent declaration!
Delivery
In stock items will normally be dispatched via Royal Mail for express delivery within 1-3 working days. If this is not possible, our standard delivery time is 7-10 working days. Heavy or high-value items will be sent by courier and may take up to 14 working days.
If any item ordered is out of stock you will be informed by email.
Post and packing charges will be clearly shown during the checkout process, except for some destinations in Northern Ireland or non-mainland United Kingdom addresses which may incur additional postal charges not shown during the checkout process. We regret we are unable to ship outside the United Kingdom.
It is a condition of sale that customers are required to examine all goods upon receipt before accepting delivery. In the event of any damage the customer is to refuse delivery and to note the damage on the delivery documentation and /or packaging and then contact Action Mobility Customer Services within 7 days. Where the Royal Mail postal service is used, any damage must be reported to Action Mobility Customer Services within 7 days of receipt.
Returns
Under the Distance Selling Regulations, you are entitled to a 7 day “cooling off” period starting from the delivery date during which time orders can be returned. Upon receipt of the goods, if you require to exchange or return them, you are responsible for their return including any costs incurred. We strongly recommend you use a “signed for” or “tracked” delivery method for your returns and for your own protection. Any returned goods must be COMPLETE, UNUSED, UNDAMAGED and in their original outer packaging together with a letter stating the reason for return. We reserve the right to charge for repair, replacement or re-packaging of any goods not returned in their original condition. All applicable refunds will be processed within 30 days after receipt of goods excluding any delivery costs incurred by us. The following items are non-refundable - All items of a personal hygiene nature such as commodes, toilet seats, incontinence products, stockings, tights and similar items, plus any “customised” , “made-to-order”, “non-standard” or “Special Order” items.
Warranty
The majority of our products are guaranteed for 12 months by the manufacturer and some items carry a longer period of guarantee. If the product develops a fault while still within its warranty period, please contact Action Mobility Customer services.
PLEASE NOTE - The following items are not covered under warranty - Accidental damage, fair wear and tear, misuse or abuse, adjustments, adaptations or re-programming, consumables such as batteries, tyres, tubes, bulbs and the like.
If goods returned under guarantee are found not to be defective and are in full working order, they will be returned to you. An administration fee of 20% of the price of the goods plus cost of carriage will be charged to you, to cover our incurred costs.
Terms & Conditions of Sale
The following terms and conditions (“The Conditions”) will govern all contracts for sale between You (the Customer) and Us (Action Mobility), to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions. Please read these Conditions carefully.
These Conditions do not affect your Statutory Rights.
Each order placed by You will be accepted as an offer to purchase the goods subject to these Conditions. By proceeding with an order You are deemed to accept these Conditions. Our email response acknowledging Your order does not constitute acceptance of the order. Your offer is accepted and the contract of sale begins when the goods are despatched.
Your order for goods is subject to availability. If We are unable to supply goods to You for any reason, We will attempt to inform You as soon as possible and refund any monies paid. If Your goods are not available for more than 28 days and We have not contacted You, please contact Action Mobility Customer Services.
We do not accept any liability whatsoever for any losses You may suffer if We are unable to supply goods.
All illustrations, descriptions, specifications and advertising on our website are solely to provide approximate descriptions of the goods.
Goods, other than faulty goods, may be returned within 7 working days of You receiving the goods. Any returned goods must be complete, unused, undamaged and in new condition complete with packaging and all accessories, with the packaging unopened.
Goods which do not comply with this condition may not be returned.
All applicable refunds will be processed within 30 days after receipt of the goods, excluding any delivery costs incurred by us.
We accept no liability whatsoever for any failure or delay in performance of our contract caused by any event beyond our reasonable control including, but not limited to, acts of God, war, terrorism, riot or insurrection, industrial dispute, fire, flood, tempest and national emergency.
On receipt of the goods You will be responsible for them and Our responsibility for everything other than damage due to our negligence will end at the time the goods are delivered to You.
It is a condition of sale that You are to examine all goods upon receipt before signing for acceptance of the delivery. In the event of any damage You are to refuse delivery and to note the damage upon the delivery documentation and/or packaging and then contact Action Mobility Customer Services within 7 days. Where the Royal Mail Postal Service is used any damage must be reported to Action Mobility Customer Services within 7 days of receipt.
If goods arrive in a damaged condition You must inform Us within 7 days of receipt. If damaged goods returned are subsequently found not to be defective and are in full working order, they will be returned to You. An administration fee of 20% of the price of the goods plus costs of carriage will be charged to you to cover our incurred costs.
All prices are shown in Pounds Sterling and are exclusive of delivery charges. Whilst every effort is made to ensure all prices shown are accurate, on rare occasions there may be a pricing change due to supplier price increase, tax or duty imposition, error or omission.
Prices are validated at the time of order and We reserve the right to make adjustments to any price shown prior to processing Your order. We will inform You of the corrected price and will give You the opportunity to purchase the goods at the correct price.
Payment for goods must be made by You in accordance with our checkout procedure. All orders are positively authorised prior to despatch. We do not accept any liability if any details You provide Us with are incorrect or if any order is delayed due to incorrect details.
The contract between You and Us is governed by the laws of England & Wales. If You have a complaint, please contact Action Mobility Customer Services at the earliest opportunity. We will acknowledge all complaints within 7 working days.
These Terms & Conditions are subject to change at any time without any prior notice. Any change shall not affect any existing contract between You and Us at the time of such change.
